I began my career in real estate in 1980 with the development of East Tennessee Land & Auction located in Jonesborough, Tennessee. Our small company began to grow, and in 1999, we moved to Johnson City and changed our name to East Tennessee Development and Auction. Our focus changed to include the development of subdivisions and commercial properties in our area, as well as the selling of private, residential homes and conducting auctions. Our first development in the Johnson City area was Moss Creek. We have since finished Strawberry Field, Sterling Springs, Stoneridge, Alexander's Grove, Willow's Ridge, Barton's Creek, Seabiscuit, and are currently building in our newest development - Sawyer's Pond. Our experienced staff - most of which have over 20 year's experience - would love to help you find your dream.
I began my real estate career in 2002 after completing my bachelors degree from East Tennessee State University. I am a life-long resident of northeast Tennessee. Real estate has been my family's business since 1978. Growing up, I watched my father build many wonderful relationships with his business clients and soon learned I would like to follow in his footsteps. With a degree in interior marketing, I have extensive knowledge of design and architecture. In 2007, I completed the Tennessee State licensing exam and became a licensed general contractor. This lead to an opportunity to serve on the Johnson City Area Home Builders Association board where I worked for 2 years. I truly enjoy working with individuals, couples and families to help make the home buying or home selling experience a pleasant one. I understand buying or selling a home is a BIG decision, and I want to help you make the right one.
I was born and raised in Telford, TN. I am a 1995 graduate of David Crockett High School. I’ve been married for 12 years and the father of 3. I grew up in a construction family from my father to my grandfather, uncles, and cousins. I’ve been in the construction business for 10 years and as a licensed contractor have owned my own construction company for 6 years. I’ve served on the board of directors for the Johnson City Area Homebuilders Association. I have worked with my wife over the years in real estate and I’m very passionate about all real estate. I am a lifetime resident of Washington County and Johnson City, TN. I am a graduate of UHS and attended ETSU. I have been a real estate agent since 1978 and a real estate auctioneer since 1980. I have built residential homes and have also developed and sold farms as well as commercial property. I am married with 4 grown children and 4 grandchildren. Ron Kind came to East Tennessee Development & Auction Company after a 25 year career as a corporate trainer. Ron brings 10+ years experience as a realtor specializing in residential, investment, and commercial business. Ron has joined the Million Dollar Club for 10 consecutive years.
